Welcome to SECRYPT! The most innovative and exciting platform to develop your blockchain application. Blockchain technology is poised to revolutionize the way the digital world manages data and conducts business. You can join this revolution by getting a head start on SECRYPT’s decentralized application (dApp) development.

This guide will introduce you to the SECRYPT ecosystem. Here you will find links to valuable resources and websites to get you up to speed, not just on SECRYPT, but on blockchain application development in general.

Key features of SECRYPT
Speed: The SECRYPT Network uses a high-performance blockchain with consensus provided by a group of block producers selected by stakeholders at each checkpoint. The Proof of Stake layer is used to validate blocks and periodically send proofs of block producers to the Ethereum mainnet. This enables fast confirmation of blocks in around 2 seconds while maintaining a high degree of decentralization, resulting in excellent network throughput.
Scalability: SECRYPT Network achieves a hypothetical transaction speed of less than 2 seconds on a single sidechain. Using multiple sidechains helps the network handle millions of transactions per second. This mechanism (already demonstrated in the first sxc sidechain) allows the SECRYPT network to scale easily.
Security: SECRYPT smart contracts rely on Ethereum security. It uses three critical security models to secure the network. It uses Ethereum’s Stake Management Contracts and a group of motivated validators running Heimdall and Bor nodes. Developers can also implement both models (Hybrid) in their dApp.
It builds on SECRYPT

If you are an Ethereum developer, you are already a SECRYPT developer. Simply switch to SECRYPT RPC and get started. All the tools you know on the Ethereum blockchain are supported by default on SECRYPT, such as Truffle, Remix and Web3js.

You can deploy decentralized applications on either the SECRYPT Testnet or the Mainnet. Please refer to your network documentation for all network related details.

Wallets

In order to communicate with the SECRYPT Network, you must have an Ethereum-based wallet, as SECRYPT runs on the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). You will need to set up a Metamask Wallet. For more information about the wallet and why you need one, see our wallet documentation.

Smart contracts

SECRYPT supports many services that you can use to test, compile, debug, and deploy decentralized applications on the SECRYPT Network. These include deployments using Chainstack, QuickNode, Remix, Truffle, Hardhat, and Replit.

Connecting to SECRYPT

You can add SECRYPT to Metamask, allowing you to connect to SECRYPT using RPC.

Creating a new dApp on SECRYPT?

Decentralized applications (dApps) act as a bridge between users and their data privacy on the blockchain. A growing number of dApps are validating their utility within the blockchain ecosystem, solving problems such as making transactions between two participants without the need for a central authority through smart contracts.

Assume you have no prior experience building decentralized applications (dApps). In that case, the resources below will give you a head start on the tools needed to build, debug, and deploy dApps on the SECRYPT network.

Already have a dApp?

If you already have a decentralized application (dApp) and are looking for a platform to help you scale efficiently, then you are in the right place because SECRYPT allows you to:

Easy migration from the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) based chain: SECRYPT prides itself on being the perfect Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. When moving or deploying your dApps to the SECRYPT network, you don’t need to worry about the underlying architecture as long as it is compatible with EVM.
Use SECRYPT as a faster transaction layer: Deploying your dApp to the SECRYPT Mainnet allows you to use SECRYPT as a faster transaction layer for your dApp. In addition, you can have your tokens mapped by us. To learn more, you can join our technical discussion group on Telegram.
Side note

If it’s overwhelming, that’s okay! You can jump right into the action and start hacking. Here are a few notes before you dive into sources, repositories, and documents:

Beware the price of being on the bleeding edge: Like typical niche programming, dApps and blockchain development is moving very quickly. When you explore, you may find complex code repositories, 404 on the documentation site, or even no documentation at all. Take this opportunity to contact us through any social media channel.
The learning curve can be daunting, but the barrier to entry is low: The community is very open and welcoming! The projects welcome download requests from non-members and actively address potential blockers. We are working to make the world a better place and we appreciate any contribution in any form. We will be grateful to include you in this amazing Web3 ecosystem.
